On Wednesday, November 26, 2025 , Indonesia was struck by a devastating tragedy. Flash floods struck the three provinces of Aceh, Medan, and Padang, causing widespread damage. A total of 303 people lost their lives , and many more remain missing and unaccounted for . Thousands of families were displaced, their homes destroyed, forcing them to seek shelter with limited resources and an uncertain future.
