Supporting children with special needs

The Acsauvel, a Lebanese NGO, successfully launched a campaign to support children with special needs in Deir Tamish. Despite challenges including delayed government support, the pandemic, and currency devaluation, the campaign has greatly impacted the lives of 125 individuals by providing education, well-being, and support.

Every contribution, whether through donations or sharing the request, was highly valued in making a difference and sustaining the employment of teachers and therapists.

L’école des Saints Cœurs Ain Ebel est une institution privée catholique libanaise francophone relevant de la Congrégation des Sœurs des Saints Cœurs. Elle est présente dans la région frontalière du sud du Liban depuis 1881, soit 140 ans d’enracinement et de gravure de l’identité de la région. Son rayonnement, limité au début au seul village d’Ain Ebel, connut depuis 1970 une expansion considérable et ses services s’étendirent pour atteindre plus que 28 villages dans les alentours, visant par-là recevoir, à bras ouverts, un public généreux, intelligent et intrépide, celui du Caza de Bint Jbeil. Aujourd’hui, l’école se lance dans de nouveaux défis : ne dit-on pas tous que NOTRE école doit grandir et accompagner le progrès dans toutes ses dimensions ? ne dit-on pas qu’elle doit rester à la hauteur de nos attentes pour recevoir l’enfance en éclosion ? si ce ne sont pas nos enfants, ce sont ceux que nous voulons, à tout prix, qu’ils restent ancrés dans cette terre chérie pour laquelle nous exprimons, tous, de la nostalgie. Plusieurs clubs et mouvements sont créés au sein de l’école pour aider ces élèves à développer leur personnalité et leur potentiel en leadership : Club WELL BEING, Club social « FRATELLI TUTTI », … et comme l’école croit que sa grande richesse consiste dans ses ressources humaines colossales, construites au fil des 140 ans de service, elle cherche aujourd’hui à profiter d’une application pour rassembler, sous ses ailes, toutes ces énergies éparpillées partout autour du monde, en qui elle a confiance et d’où elle puise sa fierté . L’impossible devient possible quand la volonté est là : cette application numérique a deux buts : collecter en premier abord des données autour de nos Anciens – elles serviront à impliquer tous les Frères et Sœurs dans les activités de la Maison ; et en second lieu, collecter des dons volontaires – quelques petits qu’ils soient – qui permettront à la SSCC Ain Ebel de poursuivre sa mission dans ces conditions économiques paralysantes du pays en entier. Main dans la main, nous construisons un milieu pédagogique propice à l’apprentissage d’une génération faite pour mieux vivre ; des générations s’embrassent au sein de l’école des saints cœurs grâce à vous qui œuvrez pour la fondation de solides assises pour le monde de demain. Ne lâchons pas prise : l’enseignement éclaire le chemin, l’éducation trace la route, permettons à ces germes de génie, qui sont nos élèves, d’organiser de meilleurs voyages.

RHHS Alumni Association is very proud to announce the digital launch of ‘Better Together Scholarship Program’, a financial aid program that aims to support high achieving students whose families face challenges in fulfilling the school's tuition fees. The program will be funded through RHHS alumni and its wider community making it one of the best ways to give back to the institution that shaped us growing up. The dire economic situation in Lebanon has made it very difficult for many families to keep their children in their schools, and parents at RHHS have been no exception. However, it is in the most difficult of these situations that we need to make sure that our students' education is the one thing that is not compromised. As the great Nelson Mandela once said, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." If we want our children to change the world, we have to make sure we provide them with the most important weapon - their education. Your generous contribution, regardless of how big or little, sends a very important message to our students today and it is: 'You are not alone. Due to the bad economical situation in Lebanon my husband has lost his job and we can’t afford to pay our son’s education anymore he just finished school it s his first year and he wants to continue his studies at LAU for industrial engineering we applied for a financial aid we got a grant of 60% even though we don’t have the rest of the amount which is $8,122 ( $4,061.6 for each semester) therefore we asked god s help and we kindly ask for your help as u are our only hope.

يختص "مركز مصان" منذ العام 1993 برعاية 175 من الأطفال والشباب من ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة، المركز مسؤول عن تعليم الأطفال ذوي الإعاقات الخاصة والجسدية والمشاكل العقلية والنفسية والاضطرابات الأخرى. كما يوفّر لهم جلسات علاجية مثل العلاج الفيزيائي والتدريب المهني والوظيفي والعلاج النفسي وعلاج النطق. يواجه الأطفال في مركز مُصان خاصّةً وفي لبنان عموماً، أحد أقسى تحديات الحياة، بسبب الأزمات الحاصلة في لبنان، مما أضطر معظم الأهالي لعدم إرسال أبنائهم الى مركزهم، بسبب ارتفاع كلفة المأكل والملبس ومصاريف النقل والعلاج وغيرها. لذلك نظم مركز مُـصان لذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة، مبادرة مع الخيّرين لمساعدة الأطفال والشباب من ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة، بحق التعليم وتلقي العلاجات الخاصة، وذلك من خلال حملة تكفّل خاصة للتبرع الشهري-السنوي-أو حسب الحاجة. إكفل أو ساعد طفلا من ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة عبر التبرع لهم لتوفير التالي: - التعليم - جلسات العلاج (الفيزيائي-النطق واللغة-الإنشغالي-دعم نفسي سلوكي) - التعليم المهني (أشغال يدوية-خياطة-تدبير منزلي-سكرتاريا-فرن-نجارة-فنون) - التأمين الصحي - المواصلات - الطعام - الملابس والقرطاسية وسائل تعليمية واللوازم الأخرى يعتمد مركز مصان الشفافية والسرية في التعامل مع المبادرين، مع حق اختيار الأطفال أو التواصل مع ذويهم والأشخاص المعنيين للمساعدة. الرجاء المساعدة في إنقاذ مستقبلهم، والمساعدة في إكمال تعليمهم والمساعدة في توفير العلاجات اللازمة والمهمة لهم. أي مساهمة مهمة، يرجى التبرع قدر الإمكان، كما يرجى مساعدتنا في مشاركة طلبنا. فكل جهد يساعد. شكرًا جزيلاً على دعمكم وإحداث فرق! The Mosan Center has been specialized since 1993 with the care of 175 children and youth with special needs. The center is responsible for teaching children with particular and physical disabilities, mental and psychological problems, and other disorders. It also provides them with therapeutic sessions such as physical therapy, vocational and occupational training, psychotherapy, and speech therapy. Children in the Mosan Center in particular, and in Lebanon in general, face one of the harshest challenges of life, due to the crises in Lebanon, which forced most parents not to send their children to their center, due to the high cost of food, clothing, transportation and treatment expenses, and others. Therefore, the Mosan Center for People with Special Needs organized an initiative with benefactors to help children and young people with special needs, with the right to education and to receive unique treatments, through a particular sponsorship campaign for a monthly-annual donation, or as needed. Sponsor or help a child with special needs by donating to them to provide the following: - Education. - Therapy sessions (physical - speech and language - preoccupation - psychological support) Vocational education (handicrafts, sewing, housekeeping, secretarial, oven, carpentry, arts). - Health insurance. - Transportation. - Food. - Clothes, stationery, teaching aids, and others. The Mosan Center adopts transparency and confidentiality in dealing with initiators, with the right to choose children or communicate with their parents and concerned persons for assistance.
