My name is Adeesha Isurunath, and I reside in Sri Lanka. On July 12, 2018, I obtained a loan by mortgaging my house, with an agreement to repay the principal amount along with the accrued interest within a period of five years.
I was diligent in making my monthly payments for the first few months. However, a significant turn of events occurred with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019, which unfortunately led to the loss of my employment. As a result, I was without a job for several months.
During this challenging period, I was unable to make the loan payments consistently. Despite my best efforts to repay what I could, the outstanding installments and accumulated arrears have now reached a critical point. I am currently facing an urgent requirement to pay Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR 750,000), which is approximately Two Thousand Five Hundred United States Dollars (USD 2,500), very soon.
Therefore, I humbly request your assistance in settling this loan amount to save my house from foreclosure.
