This campaign focuses on the humanitarian crisis in Sumatra, Indonesia, following a severe disaster in late November 2025. A rare tropical cyclone, worsened by deforestation, caused heavy flooding and landslides, especially in areas near the Malacca Strait.
As of 22 December, official reports show:
1,106 people have died
175 people are still missing
Around 7,000 people have been injured
158,000 homes have been damaged
More than 1 million people have been displaced, and nearly 3 million people have been affected overall
Despite the scale of the disaster, it has not been declared a national disaster. As a result, humanitarian aid reaching the affected communities remains very limited. International attention and humanitarian support are therefore urgently needed.
Thank you for submitting your report. At fundahope we take your concerns very seriously. We will investigate in the content of your report and take the right action when our investigations are over.
