My name is Mahmoud Enshasi, a Palestinian father from Gaza. All I want in this life is to feed my children — to see them sleep without crying from hunger, to keep them alive through this war and famine. But war has no mercy. I lost my home. I was displaced multiple times. Every time I thought I found a safe place, it turned into rubble again. I carried my children and ran… and kept running… with no destination, only searching for life. One day, while I was chasing a truck delivering aid — just trying to secure a piece of bread for my children — the army opened fire on me. I wasn’t carrying a weapon. I wasn’t a threat. All I wanted… was bread. I was shot for trying to feed my kids. Today, I have nothing. No home. No income. No safety. Only hungry children, a torn tent, and the heart of a father breaking apart as he watches his kids suffer with no way to protect them. I’m not asking for luxury. I’m asking for dignity — for the bare minimum that keeps us human: food to ease the hunger, a blanket to fight the cold, a voice to hear us, and a hand to help.
