Treatment for addiction
Just like you, im a son to my parents, a brother to my sisters, and a friend to loved ones, but unlike you Ive been fighting demons for the past 22 years, I suffer from Heroin addiction. Every time I hear about a recovery story I get goosebumps, and I say I will be that person one day.
Going in and out of rehab, taking supplements, seeking help at therapists, trying to quit on my own didnt work out so far. And when I say so far its because I was moved by a friend who recovered, who once told me "I am in the most beautiful place right now, I am here with you, listening to you, talking to you, feeling with you"...That friend did the Ibogane treatment. A treatment that we unfortunately do not have in Lebanon, a very promising way of recovering with very high rates of success. I said whatever it takes, and yes it is not easy, all here asking for help to a case labeled as "Taboo" in our comprehension of addiction.
I am trying to raise funds for my case because with our current disasterous situation in Lebanon, I cannot do this alone, covering the cost of the program, the visa, ticket and passport fees of 8500 USD. But I will rise out of the ashes because Im investing in triumph over the seemingly impossible odds.
