Serving the Vulnerable: A Community Initiative
Serving the Vulnerable: A Community Initiative As part of our commitment to serving humanity, we're launching an initiative to support the elders and kids in our society who need it most. Through partnerships with local organizations, we'll be providing healthcare and educational resources to make a tangible difference in their lives. The Need is Real Sri Lanka is facing a growing eldercare deficit, with 12.3% of the population aged 60 or older, making it the country with the highest proportion of older adults in South Asia. Meanwhile, children in rural and remote areas struggle to access quality education, with one in four under the age of five stunted. Our initiative aims to address these pressing issues . Our Focus Areas: • Healthcare for Elders: Medical check-ups, medicines, and health awareness sessions to promote healthy aging • Education for Kids: School supplies, scholarships, and tutoring to empower the next generation Recent Success: Healthcare Camp and School Item Distribution Last week, our team successfully organized a healthcare camp and distributed school items to elders and kids in need, thanks to generous local donations. The event saw 50 beneficiaries, with medical check-ups for 25 elders & 25 kids receiving school supplies. This initiative is a testament to the power of community support and our commitment to serving the vulnerable. The Value of Our Initiative By supporting elders and kids, we're not only improving individual lives but also strengthening our community. Our initiative will: • Promote intergenerational connections and social cohesion • Enhance the well-being and dignity of elders • Empower kids to reach their full potential • Foster a sense of community and social responsibility How You Can Help • Contribute to our fund • Volunteer your time and skills • Spread the word about our initiative Together, we can create a ripple effect of kindness and compassion in our community. Join us in serving the vulnerable and making a difference!

Help me fund my mom's cancer treatment

Help me fund my mom's cancer treatment
My name is Marcos. I am a Cuban citizen and a Singapore Permanent Resident since 2024, and I have called Singapore home since 2018. This country is where I have grown professionally and personally, and where my family found hope when we needed it most. My mum, Maria del Carmen Ochoa, was first diagnosed with thyroid cancer when I was just 15 years old, over 20 years ago. Since then, we have been fighting this illness together for most of my life. In recent years, conditions in Cuba deteriorated severely. Medical resources became scarce, treatments were no longer available, and doctors eventually told us she was terminally ill. Faced with the reality that she would suffer without proper care, I made the hardest decision of my life: to bring her to Singapore so she could have a peaceful, dignified, and pain-free end with proper palliative care. When the palliative doctor examined her in Singapore, everything changed. She was not at an end-of-life stage. She was immediately referred to oncology, and from 2023 until early 2025, my mum was given something we never thought we would have again: time. Two beautiful years filled with love, family, friends, and life. She was active, largely pain-free, and able to live with dignity while undergoing oral chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and continuous treatment at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. The journey has not been without loss. A tumour grew at the base of her skull and damaged her optic nerve, leaving her blind in her right eye. Radiotherapy stopped the progression, and she adapted with remarkable strength, continuing to live life with courage and grace. Unfortunately, her current oral chemotherapy is no longer as effective, and the side effects are taking a heavy toll on her body. Since April 2025, her health has declined significantly. There is still hope, but she needs to regain strength to continue with new treatment options. These treatments are extremely expensive. Her current medication alone costs around SGD 7,000 per month, and the next line of treatment will cost the same or more. I have exhausted my savings and am now overwhelmed by debt. The outstanding medical bill with Tan Tock Seng Hospital has exceeded SGD 150,000, and I can no longer manage this on my own. Every decision I have made was to give my mum a chance to live without pain and fear. Had I not brought her to Singapore in 2023, she would not be alive today. The lack of medical resources and specialist care in Cuba would not have given her these extra years of life. I am reaching out with humility and hope. Any support you are able to offer will go directly towards my mum’s medical bills and ongoing treatment. Your kindness helps us continue this fight and gives my mum the care, dignity, and comfort she deserves. Thank you for reading our story and for standing with us during this difficult time. Marcos

Save Siham Stage IV Cancer

Save Siham Stage IV Cancer
I am reaching out to you today with a heart full of desperation and hope for my beloved mother, Siham Ahmad Hassan (50 years old), who is currently fighting the battle of her life against advanced cancer. The recent PET/CT scan reports from Tripoli Governmental Hospital confirm a difficult diagnosis: Stage IV Metastatic Malignancy. The disease has spread aggressively throughout her body, with active metastasis noted in critical areas including the liver, bones (vertebrae), lungs, and numerous lymph nodes across her chest and abdomen (peritoneal metastasis). Time is now critical. Aggressive treatment, including chemotherapy and targeted/biological therapy, is the only way to slow the spread of this aggressive disease, ease her severe pain, and offer her precious time with her family. Due to the devastating economic crisis in Lebanon, the exorbitant cost of these necessary targeted medications and follow-up procedures (such as repeat PET/CT scans and specialized doses not fully covered by the Ministry of Health) is an overwhelming burden on our family. We are unable to cover the costs required to begin and sustain this urgent fight. We are appealing to your compassion and generosity to be a lifeline for Siham. Every donation, no matter how small, will directly secure her essential treatment needs and is an investment in giving her strength and time. Our goal is to raise $10,000 USD to cover the upcoming months of specialized medication and monitoring required for her ongoing treatment. Please help us give Siham the fighting chance she deserves.

Give hope to baby Georges Azar, Age 6, Fight Cerebral Palsy (Spastic Quadriplegia). Georges is a bright, loving 6-year-old boy from Zahlé, Lebanon, living with cerebral palsy, which has caused spastic quadriplegia. Along with this, Georges faces developmental delay, low vision, difficulties with sensation, severe speech challenges, painful spasms, and epilepsy (currently controlled with medication). He needs intensive therapies, medical equipment, and specialized treatment to improve his comfort, mobility, and quality of life. Your support will fund therapies, equipment, and care that can help Georges stand, play, speak and smile more freely. About Georges : Georges, affectionately called baby Georges by his family, lives in Zahlé, a historic city in Lebanon’s Beqaa Valley. He is a gentle, curious little boy who loves spending time with his family and lights up at the idea of going on a road trip with his loving sisters and enjoys listening to music. Despite his daily struggles, he greets the world with courage and warmth. Our greatest wish is to give Georges the chance to grow, learn, and enjoy the childhood he deserves — with less pain and more independence. Medical Background : Georges was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (spastic quadriplegia), the most severe form of CP. This condition affects all four of his limbs and his trunk, causing constant muscle stiffness, weakness, limited movement and difficulties to sleep at night. In addition, Georges faces: Developmental delay, making milestones like walking, talking, and learning much harder to reach. Low vision, which affects how he explores the world and connects with people around him. Problems with sensation, making touch and physical awareness difficult. Severe speech challenges, limiting his ability to communicate his needs and feelings. Spasms, which are painful and exhausting for him. Epilepsy, which thankfully is controlled with daily medication but requires ongoing monitoring and care. Living in Zahlé, Lebanon, makes it even harder for Georges to access the intensive therapies and specialized medical support he needs. Many treatments, equipment, and rehabilitation services are either unavailable locally or extremely costly for families. What Georges Needs Now : My wife and I dedicate the majority of our earnings to making Georges better, but unfortunately his medical needs require far more than we can manage — while also caring for his two loving sisters, ages 12 and 11, who need our attention and support as well. Georges’s medical team at American University of Beirut medical center (AUBMC) recommends: Intensive therapy: physical (25/Month), occupational (8/Month), speech (8/Month), sleep therapies and vision therapies. Adaptive equipment: wheelchair/adaptive stroller, standing frame, gait trainer, custom seating, orthotics. Medical care: spasticity management (such as Botox or medications), epilepsy monitoring, orthopedic follow-up, imaging, and pain management. Home modifications: safe seating, ramps, feeding supports, and sensory aids. Travel & logistics: Equipped car compatible for wheelchair for transportation. How Your Donation Helps: Every contribution will go directly toward Georges’s care. Donations will cover: Therapy programs. Adaptive equipment & orthotics Afo and Kafo (to be replaced as he grows). Medical procedures, visits & medications. Travel & logistics Home modifications & essential supplies. We will share receipts, updates, and progress reports so every donor can see the difference they are making. How You Can Help : Donate: No gift is too small — every amount counts. Share: Please spread Georges’s story on social media and with your community. Connect: If you know organizations, therapists, or foundations that support children with cerebral palsy, we would be grateful for introductions. Thank you for standing with Georges. With your help, Georges can access the therapy and care he urgently needs to ease his challenges and find joy in life’s little milestones. We’ll post regular updates so you can follow his progress and know exactly how your kindness is helping. I thank you from the bottom of my heart❤️. !!!!!URGENT PLEASE, JEAN IS IN NEED FOR URGENT HOSPITALIZATION AND LEGAL ASSISTANCE. FINANCIALS ARE TIGHT AND TILL DATE NO HELP WAS FOUND, PLEASE.!!!! Donations are accepted online or via Whish Money to 70169933, Thank You! 💔 I’m Struggling with Severe PTSD & Panic Disorder and Severe MDD with Sever Suicidal Thoughts — Please Help Me Find a Way Out 💔 My name is Jean, I’m 33 years old, and for the first time in my life, I am writing these words with no strength left to hide behind a smile or pretend I'm okay. For years, I’ve been suffering in silence — battling traumas, panic attacks, and a deep, persistent fear that often leaves me gasping for air, frozen in place, or even unconscious. What started as moments of panic I tried to manage privately has now taken over my life. Since January, my condition has worsened. The panic attacks come daily, without warning. My heart races, I shake uncontrollably, I lose my ability to speak or move. I often pass out, completely unaware of my surroundings. I usually hide in the bathroom so my mother and brother don’t see me like this — I didn’t want them to worry. But things have spiraled beyond what I can carry alone. What Happened I work as an insurance agent, collecting client payments and forwarding them to the two companies I work with: Solidarity Mutual Fund and Securite Assurance. On December 7, 2024, while waiting in Baabda for a client, I had a panic attack. I was disoriented and overwhelmed. In those vulnerable minutes, I was robbed. Again, on May 1, 2025, after undergoing thyroid tests and other medical procedures at St. Michel Medical Center in Dbayeh, I avoided the elevator due to anxiety and took the stairs. Halfway down, I had a sudden, violent panic attack. I lost consciousness on the staircase. Someone tried to help me — I saw a shadow — but by the time I came to and got to the street, I realized two envelopes containing insurance payments were missing. I broke down in public, completely helpless, and went home in tears, ashamed and scared. The Diagnosis I finally opened up to my doctor on June 6, 2025, and told him everything. He prescribed Alprox 0.5mg to help with the episodes, and urged me to begin psychotherapy immediately. On June 11, 2025, I began therapy with Dr. Tony Sawma, a clinical psychologist who now sees me weekly. After deep evaluation, I was diagnosed with: Severe PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) Panic Disorder Suicidal Thoughts and Behaviors These are not just labels. They mean I: Experience intense flashbacks and terrifying memories Avoid people, public spaces, and even daylight at times Can suddenly collapse, shake, cry, or become paralyzed by fear Live with a constant sense of danger, guilt, and shame Struggle with insomnia, digestive issues, and chronic exhaustion Often feel like I am not going to survive another week Therapy is helping, but this is a long, slow journey — and while I fight for my mental health, my financial crisis has exploded. Why I’m Asking for Help Due to the robberies during my panic episodes, I fell behind on client payments. I tried to explain to the insurance companies. I asked for time. Solidarity Mutual Fund eventually put all my policies on hold Securite Assurance hired a lawyer, Edgard Hayeck, who is now pursuing legal action against me I owe: $6,200 to Securite Assurance $6,050 to Solidarity Mutual Fund I’ve contacted several lawyers, but no one has responded. I don’t have the resources or mental strength to fight this battle alone anymore. That’s why I am writing this with shame, fear, and a final hope: that someone will see me, hear me, and help. How You Can Help If you can support me with any amount, it will help me: Pay back these dues before legal action escalates Continue my weekly therapy Buy my medication Focus on healing without the constant threat of collapse I’m ready to share medical reports, receipts, or speak to any lawyer who is willing to help me legally. Please contact me at 81901751 if you can assist or guide me, as you can donate via whish Money App to the number 70169933. Final Words I need urgent hospitalization for a Server MDD (Major-Depressive-Disorder) with Severe suicidal thoughts, my insurance does not cover this case and I don't know how much it cost in Cash with treatments, and I can't afford. I’m not okay. I’m not stable. But I’m trying. I’m going to therapy. I’m following my doctor’s orders. And I’m asking — please, if you’ve ever known what it feels like to be completely lost, help me find a light in this darkness. With honesty and all my heart, Jean
