I have been suffering for many years because of my health. I am very skinny, weak, and not physically strong. Since I was a child, people have made fun of my body. At school, some friends and even teachers laughed at me. Their words hurt me deeply and broke my confidence. I could never live like other children. I could not play sports or enjoy normal activities. I get tired very easily. When I get sick, it takes a very long time to recover, and I get sick again and again because my immunity is very weak. Because of this, my life has been full of pain and sadness. I often feel lonely and useless. I suffer from depression and low self-esteem. Many nights I cry and think about why my life has to be like this. Sometimes I feel like I am not strong enough to face the future. But deep inside, I still have hope. I don’t want to live a weak and painful life forever. I want to become healthy. I want to be strong enough to live normally, to work, to smile, and to believe in myself. I want a chance to change my life. I am asking for help to improve my health through proper nutrition, medical care, and support. Your kindness can help me take my first step toward a better life. I have already identified an affirming doctor and trusted hospital (with the help of Rainbow Identity Association Botswana) where I can access gender-affirming care. This includes a prescription for hormone replacement therapy (HRT), ongoing blood tests, and follow-up consultations. The remaining barrier for me right now is cost. There is no medical insurance that covers gender-affirming care for trans people here. I'm asking for support to cover approximately the first 3 months of transition related expenses. These include initial consultation, required laboratory work, prescribed hormones, and follow-up monitoring to ensure my health and safety during the early stages of treatment. My goal is to raise $3300 USD, which reflects a realistic estimate for these costs and provides a small buffer for unexpected medical expenses.
