Help me fund my mom's cancer treatment

Help me fund my mom's cancer treatment
My name is Marcos. I am a Cuban citizen and a Singapore Permanent Resident since 2024, and I have called Singapore home since 2018. This country is where I have grown professionally and personally, and where my family found hope when we needed it most. My mum, Maria del Carmen Ochoa, was first diagnosed with thyroid cancer when I was just 15 years old, over 20 years ago. Since then, we have been fighting this illness together for most of my life. In recent years, conditions in Cuba deteriorated severely. Medical resources became scarce, treatments were no longer available, and doctors eventually told us she was terminally ill. Faced with the reality that she would suffer without proper care, I made the hardest decision of my life: to bring her to Singapore so she could have a peaceful, dignified, and pain-free end with proper palliative care. When the palliative doctor examined her in Singapore, everything changed. She was not at an end-of-life stage. She was immediately referred to oncology, and from 2023 until early 2025, my mum was given something we never thought we would have again: time. Two beautiful years filled with love, family, friends, and life. She was active, largely pain-free, and able to live with dignity while undergoing oral chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and continuous treatment at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. The journey has not been without loss. A tumour grew at the base of her skull and damaged her optic nerve, leaving her blind in her right eye. Radiotherapy stopped the progression, and she adapted with remarkable strength, continuing to live life with courage and grace. Unfortunately, her current oral chemotherapy is no longer as effective, and the side effects are taking a heavy toll on her body. Since April 2025, her health has declined significantly. There is still hope, but she needs to regain strength to continue with new treatment options. These treatments are extremely expensive. Her current medication alone costs around SGD 7,000 per month, and the next line of treatment will cost the same or more. I have exhausted my savings and am now overwhelmed by debt. The outstanding medical bill with Tan Tock Seng Hospital has exceeded SGD 150,000, and I can no longer manage this on my own. Every decision I have made was to give my mum a chance to live without pain and fear. Had I not brought her to Singapore in 2023, she would not be alive today. The lack of medical resources and specialist care in Cuba would not have given her these extra years of life. I am reaching out with humility and hope. Any support you are able to offer will go directly towards my mum’s medical bills and ongoing treatment. Your kindness helps us continue this fight and gives my mum the care, dignity, and comfort she deserves. Thank you for reading our story and for standing with us during this difficult time. Marcos

Help Zahid Fight a Rare Cancer Histiocytic Sarcoma
My brother-in-law, Zahid Qureshi (46 years old), has been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer called Histiocytic Sarcoma. This life-threatening cancer spreads very quickly and requires urgent specialist treatment. His biopsy report shows severe tumour activity, complete lymph node damage, and rapid cancer growth (Ki67: 40%). Doctors have strongly advised immediate treatment, including Flow Cytometry, chemotherapy, and advanced imaging tests — all of which are extremely expensive. Zahid is currently jobless due to his illness. He has no income, no savings, and no financial support system. He does not have a son — he has only one 17-year-old daughter, who is emotionally broken and terrified of losing her father. His wife is struggling to manage both the household and his medical needs. Their financial condition is so weak that they cannot even afford basic tests, let alone full cancer treatment. Before his illness, Zahid was a hardworking and humble man who always stood by his family. Today, he is fighting for his life. Watching him weaken every day, unable to work, unable to support his family, and in constant pain, has been one of the most heartbreaking experiences for all of us. The doctors have warned that time is critical. Histiocytic Sarcoma is extremely aggressive and can worsen rapidly if treatment is delayed. Every single day matters. Without urgent treatment, his condition may become irreversible. We are reaching out with hope — hoping that kind-hearted people like you will help Zahid get the life-saving treatment he desperately needs. Your donation will directly support his medical tests, chemotherapy, medications, hospital charges, and daily care. Even a small contribution can make a huge difference in his fight for survival. Please, open your heart for Zahid. Your support can save a life, give a father more years with his daughter, and provide a struggling family with hope in their darkest time. If you cannot donate, kindly share this campaign — it may reach someone who can help. May Allah bless you abundantly for supporting a family in need.

Help Save My Mother’s Life - Urgent Spinal Surgery

Help Save My Mother’s Life - Urgent Spinal Surgery
My name is Nirmal, and I am a university student from Sri Lanka. Today, I am reaching out with a heartfelt plea to anyone who is willing to help my family during the most painful and challenging time of our lives. A few months ago, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. We did everything within our power to treat her, using all our savings and even mortgaging our property to pay for the treatments. Just when we thought she was recovering, we received devastating news—her cancer has now spread to her spine. Because the cancer cells are pressing on her spinal cord, my mother is suffering from severe pain in her legs, and she has partially lost the ability to walk. Doctors have recommended an urgent spinal surgery, which is the only chance to relieve her pain and give her the ability to walk again. The cost of the surgery is Rs. 1.6 million, an amount far beyond what my family can afford. My father is a farmer and is also struggling with a neurological illness. I have one sister who is also a university student. I work part-time while studying, but despite all our efforts, we are unable to raise this amount on our own. We have exhausted every resource we have. Today, I am humbly asking for help from anyone who has the kindness and capacity to support us. Your donation—no matter the size—will directly help fund my mother’s surgery and give her a chance to walk again. Please help us bring hope back into our home. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your compassion, generosity, and prayers.

Save Siham Stage IV Cancer

Medical

Save Siham Stage IV Cancer
I am reaching out to you today with a heart full of desperation and hope for my beloved mother, Siham Ahmad Hassan (50 years old), who is currently fighting the battle of her life against advanced cancer. The recent PET/CT scan reports from Tripoli Governmental Hospital confirm a difficult diagnosis: Stage IV Metastatic Malignancy. The disease has spread aggressively throughout her body, with active metastasis noted in critical areas including the liver, bones (vertebrae), lungs, and numerous lymph nodes across her chest and abdomen (peritoneal metastasis). Time is now critical. Aggressive treatment, including chemotherapy and targeted/biological therapy, is the only way to slow the spread of this aggressive disease, ease her severe pain, and offer her precious time with her family. Due to the devastating economic crisis in Lebanon, the exorbitant cost of these necessary targeted medications and follow-up procedures (such as repeat PET/CT scans and specialized doses not fully covered by the Ministry of Health) is an overwhelming burden on our family. We are unable to cover the costs required to begin and sustain this urgent fight. We are appealing to your compassion and generosity to be a lifeline for Siham. Every donation, no matter how small, will directly secure her essential treatment needs and is an investment in giving her strength and time. Our goal is to raise $10,000 USD to cover the upcoming months of specialized medication and monitoring required for her ongoing treatment. Please help us give Siham the fighting chance she deserves.
